Press Power Key to activate your screen display.2. Long press icon to unlock.NOTE: If you have set an unlock pattern, PIN or passwordfor your phone, you’ll need to draw the pattern or enterthe PIN/password to unlock your screen.Touch ControlYou can use finger gestures to control your phone. Thecontrols on your touch-screen change dynamicallydepending on the tasks you’re performing.1. Tap the buttons, icons, or applications to select itemsor to open applications.2. Flick the screen to scroll up, down, left or right.3. Drag to move particular items across the screen.4. Double-tap the screen or pinching two fingers on thescreen apart/together to zoom in/out the screen.NOTE: You can view the phone screen in portrait orlandscape orientation simply by holding it upright orturning it on its side. Not all screens are viewable inlandscape.
Home ScreenIn the Home screen, besides the shortcut icon isdisplayed, you can also set your own wallpaper, add thewidgets or application shortcuts you need, or removethem as you like.Extended Home ScreenThe Home Screen extends beyond the screen width,giving you loads more space to add more stuff. Simplyslide your finger to the left or right.Choosing Your Wallpaper1. Press the Home Key to return to the Home Screen.2. Tap the Menu Key and select CUSTOMIZEDESKTOP >Set idle wallpaper.3. Choose the image or animation you want to use as thewallpaper. Some cropping may be needed for Galleryimages.4. Tap Set wallpaper.Adding Items to Your Home Screen1. Press Home Key > tap to enter the main menuApplication Program Interface2. In the list of applications, touch and hold the icon untilthe main screen appears, move the application icon to theidle position, release the finger.Removing Items from Your Home Screen1. Press the Home Key to return to the Home Screen.2. Tap and hold the item you want to delete until theRemove icon appears on the top of the screen.3. Drag the item to the Remove icon and release yourfinger when the item turns red.

Thephone will display the applications you used recently.2. Tap the application you want to open.3. Slide the application away to end it.
Making CallsThere are many ways to make a call with your phone. AndThey all are easy to do.Calling from the Phone1. Press Home key > tap > Phone on the HomeScreen.2. Enter the number you want to call on the dial pad.Tap to delete wrong digits.3. Tap the dial icon .4. Select SIM card 1 or SIM card 2 to dial.Calling from Your Contacts1. Press Home key > tap > Contacts .2. Slide your finger to scroll the contacts list and tap thecontact name you want to call, when the contact detailsappear, tap icon; choose the SIM card to dial.3. You can search for a contact bytapping on the screen.Calling from Your Call Log1. If you have opened the dialer, touch the call log tab toopen the call records, respectively touch all, dialed,received, missed call button to display a list of thecorresponding call records.2. Tap dial icon on the right side of the record.Calling from a Text MessageIf a text message contains a phone number that youwant to call, you can make the call while viewing thetext message.1. Press Home key > tap > Messaging .2. Tap the conversation and then find the message that
contains the phone number you need.3. Tap the number; the phone will list the options.Receiving CallsAnswering a Call1. Lock screen to answer the callDrag the icon down to answer the call.2. Non lock screen to answer the callTap the icon to answer the callRejecting a Call1. Lock screen to answer the callDrag the icon down to reject the call.2. Non lock screen to answer the callTap the icon to answer the callMuting a CallDuring a call, you can mute your microphone so thatthe person you are speaking to cannot hear you, but youcan still hear them.Turning the Speakerphone On/OffTap during a call to turn the speakerphone on. Creating a Contact1. Tap from the Contacts Screen.2. Choose the storage location to save the contact.3. Enter the contact name, phone numbers, and otherinformation, and then save it.Searching for a Contact1. Tap on the Contacts Screen.2. Input the contact name you want to search for.The contacts matched will be listed.MessagingYour SMS (text message) and MMS (multimediamessaging service) are combined into one menu in HomeKey > tap > Messaging .Sending a Message1. Press Home key > tap > Messaging .2. Tap to create new message.3. Enter the recipient’s number or name. As you type,matching contacts will appear. Tap a suggested contactto add as a recipient. You can also tap to selectrecipients from the Contacts.4. Tap and type your message.Tap Menu Key to insert common phrases or contacts.If you are sending an MMS, tap Menu Key to add a subject,or tap to attach pictures, videos, audio, or slideshow.5. Tap to send your message.NOTE: Add an attachment to text message and it will beconverted into an MMS automatically. Likewise if youremove all attachments and the subject from an MMS, it’llautomatically become a text message.
Message SettingsThe phone’s message settings are pre-configured for youto use immediately. From message screen, tap the MenuKey > Settings to change.NOTE: From SMS/MMS Settings screen tap MenuKey >Restore default settings to change the messagesettings back to the original.Touch Input SettingsChoose the touch input settings by tapping >Settings > My device > Language & input from HomeScreen.In the KEYBOARD & INPUT METHODS section, you canchoose the settings that you need.Getting Connected to theInternetYour phone’s impressive networking capabilities allowyou to access the Internet or your corporate network withease.You can use default connection settings to connect to theInternet via your mobile network, or Wi-Fi.The network connection can be enabled /disabledmanually.Press Home key > tap > Settings > Network >Network Management > Choose a network to connectprior.Adding a New NetworkConnectionTo get connected via your mobile network you need adata plan with your service provider. Also if the networkssettings are not pre-configured on your phone, pleasecontact your provider to get the necessary information.
You can view settings by pressing Home key > tap >Settings > Network > More > Mobile networks > chooseCard 1 or Card 2 > Access Point Names.Turning On Wi-FiWi-Fi provides wireless Internet access over distances ofup to about 300 feet.1. Press Home key > tap > Settings.2. Click next to the Wi-Fi menu to turn it on,click you can turn off the Wi-Fi function.Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network1. Press Home key > tap > Settings > Network > Wi-Fi.2. When the Wi-Fi is on, the Wi-Fi access points, or“hotspots”, that your phone has detected are displayedwith their names and security settings.3. Tap an access point to connect to it.NOTE: If security features are implemented, you’llneed to enter a password.Checking the Wi-Fi Network StatusYou can check the Wi-Fi network by looking at theicon in the status bar.Tethering & portable hotspotShare your phone’s data connection via USB or as aportable Wi-Fi hotspot.Enabling USB tetheringTIPS: The PC accesses the Internet via the phone’smobile network. Therefore, set up the networksconnection correctly before you try to use the phone as amodem.Plug the USB cable into your phone and tick the USB
tethering check box.Disabling USB tetheringDrop the status bar, touch USB connected and clear theUSB tethering check box.You can also just pull out the USB cable.Enabling the Wi-Fi HotspotYou can use the phone as a portable WLAN router, toshare your phone’s internet connection with one or morePC or other devices.NOTE:When the portable Wi-Fi hotspot function is enabled, youcannot use your phone’s applications to access theinternet via its Wi-Fi connection.You can configure the Wi-Fi hotspot as follows:1. Press Home Key > tap > Settings > Network >More > Tethering & portable hotspot > portable wi-fihotspot, Click to turn it on.2. Tap Set up Wi-Fi hotspot to set up & manage portableWi-Fi hotspot.Disabling the Wi-Fi HotspotPress Home Key > tap > Settings> Network >More > Tethering & portable hotspot > portable wi-fihotspot and click you can turn off the Wi-Fihotspot to turn it off.Browsing the InternetYou can use your phone to get on the Internet via anetwork or Wi-Fi connection.Press Home Key > tap > Browser.There are different ways to open web pages:Tap the address bar to enter the website you want tobrowse. Then tap go on the touch keyboard.
Tap Menu Key > Bookmarks or History and select abookmark or history to open.Browsing OptionsWhen you browse the Web, you can also do thefollowing:Press Menu Key > Exit to exit.Press Menu Key > Bookmarks or History and select abookmark or history to open.Press Menu Key > Settings to configure browsersettings.Using BookmarksIf you know the Web address, you can manually addbookmarks. To bookmark a web page, open it and tapMenu Key > Save to bookmarks. Give the bookmark aname and save it.Editing a Bookmark1. Open a Browser window.2. Tap Menu Key > Bookmarks3. Select an item you want to edit and hold on it until theshortcut menu pops up.4. Select Edit bookmark.5. Edit the Label or Address, and then tap OK to save it.Deleting a Bookmark1. Open a Browser window.2. Tap Menu Key > Bookmarks.3. Select an item you want to delete and hold on it untilthe Shortcut menu pops up.4. Select Delete bookmark and tap OK to confirm.Changing Browser SettingsTap the Menu Key > Settings from a browser window tochange browser settings.
BluetoothBluetooth is a short-range wireless communicationtechnology. Phones or other devices with Bluetoothcapabilities can exchange information wirelessly within adistance of about 10 meters. The Bluetooth devices mustbe paired before the communication is performed.1. Press Home Key > tap > Settings.2. Click next to the Bluetooth menu to turn it on,When Bluetooth is on, the icon will appear in thestatus bar.3. Tap Bluetooth. Your phone will show all visibleBluetooth devices in range.4. Tap the device you want to pair with and operateaccording to the message prompt. When both devicesto be paired accept the connection, the pairing iscompleted.TIPS: Tap your device name to make your phonediscoverable if other devices try to pair with your phone.Taking Pictures with Your CameraYour phone has camera function. Open it by pressingHome Key > tap > Camera.Tap to take a picture. To view it, just tap the picturein the left corner of the screen.Listening to Your FM RadioWith the FM Radio, you can search for radio channels,listen to them, and save them on your phone. Note thatthe quality of the radio broadcast depends on thecoverage of the radio station in your area. The wiredheadset works as n antenna, so always connect theheadset when using the radio.To tune in, plug your headset into your phone. PressHome key > tap > FM Radio.
Playing Your MusicYou can play digital audio files from your phone’s memorycard in Music. Before playing music, you need to copymusic files to memory card location.1. Press Home Key >tap > Music to open the MusicScreen.2. Click the Music category label > music files to startplaying.3. Adjust the volume with Volume Keys.Opening Your GalleryPress Home Key > tap > Gallery. You can use Galleryto view pictures. You can also do some basic editing ofyour pictures, such as setting them as wallpaper orcontact photo, and sharing with friends.Making Voice MemosSound Recorder enables you to record your voice memos.1. Press Home Key > tap > Sound Recorder.2. Tap to start recording.3. Tap to save recording.4. Tap to open the recording file list.5. Save the voice recording after stop, or tap Cancel todelete the recording.Sorting your Phone SettingsSetting Date and Time1. Press Home key > tap > Settings > My device> Date& time2. Tick the Automatic Date & time tick the check boxto turn it on, or clear the check box to turn it off ifyou want to set the time and date by yourself.
3. Set date, time and change the other options.Display SettingsPress Home key > tap > Settings > My device >Display, you can adjust the display settings as you like:Brightness: Adjust brightness of the screen.Wallpaper: Set the wallpaper of the phone.Auto-rotate screen: Rotate the screen display as yourotate the phone.Sleep: Set the delay for the screen to automaticallyturn off.Audio Profiles SettingsBy pressing Home Key > tap > Settings > Mydevice >Audio profiles. When you choose the Generalmode, you can adjust the sound settings, such asringtones, volume and vibrate.Language SettingsYou can change the language of your phone system intwo simple steps.1. Press Home key > tap > Settings > My device >Language & input > Language.2. Select a language from the list given.Switching Networks1. Press Home key> tap > Settings >Network> More >Mobile networks > choose a SIM card>Networkoperators.2. Creating Your Screen Unlock Pattern1. Press Home key > tap > Settings >Personal>Security > Screen lock > Pattern.2. Drag your finger to connect at least four dots, draw thepattern.3. Touch Continue.4. Redraw your pattern to confirm.Unlocking the Screen with Your Pattern1. Press Power Key to wake up the screen.2. Draw the pattern you set to unlock the screen.If you make a mistake, your phone will ask you to tryagain.Protecting Your Phone with a PIN or PasswordCreating a PIN or Password1. Press Home key > tap > Settings >Personal>Security > Screen lock.2. Tap PIN or Password.3. According to the instruction to complete your PIN orpassword settings.Unlocking the Screen with Your PIN or Password1. Press Power Key to wake up the phone.2. Enter the PIN or password you set.Disabling Screen Unlock SecurityIf you have created an unlock pattern, PIN or password,you can disable it.1. Press Home key > tap > Settings >Personal>Security > Screen lock.2. Draw the screen unlock pattern or enter your PIN/password you have created if required.3. Tap None.Protecting Your SIM Card with a PINEvery SIM card comes with a PIN. The initial PIN isprovided by your mobile phone carrier. It’s best to lock
your SIM card as soon as you can.1. Press Home key > tap > Settings >Personal>Security > Set up SIM card lock.2. Select SIM card 1 or SIM card 2.3. Tick the Lock SIM card check box.4. Enter the PIN you’ve been given and tap OK.TIPS: If you enter the wrong SIM PIN more times thanallowed, your SIM card will be locked and you cannotaccess the mobile phone network. Contact your operatorfor a PIN Unlock Key (PUK) to restore the SIM card.Changing Your SIM PINYou can change the PIN you’ve been given to one easierfor you to remember and harder for others to guess.1. Press Home key > tap > Settings >Personal>Security > Set up SIM card lock.2. Make sure you already tick the Lock SIM card checkbox.3. Tap Change SIM PIN.Managing Your Device MemoryPress Home Key > tap > Settings > More>Storage.You can view the space information of the SD card andthe phone storage.Unmount SD card: You can unmount the SD card to safelyremove it.Erase SD card: Erase all data on the SD card.Privacy: Reset to Factory SettingsPress Home key > tap > Settings > Personal>Backup& reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone > Eraseeverything.WARNING: All your personal information and downloaded
applications on your phone will be erased after theresetting.ApplicationsPress Home Key > tap > Settings >More> Apps.Installing an ApplicationYou can install a non-Marketing application if you haveallowed the installation of it. Make sure that you select anapplication developed for your device and processor typebefore installing it.1. Copy the application file to the SD card and install thecard on your phone.2. Press Home key > tap > File Manager, and open thefolder where the application file is.3. Tap the file to start installation.4. Read the installation instructions that come with theapplication and follow it to complete the setup.NOTE: please take your handset as the standard.Removing an Application1. Press Home key > tap > Settings >More> Apps.2. Select the application you want to delete.3. Tap Uninstall and OK to confirm.Moving an ApplicationYou can move the applications downloaded or installedon your phone to the memory card when the phonememory is full. You can also move applications to yourphone if the memory card is getting full.NOTE: Not all applications can be move to your phone ormemory card.1. Press Home key > tap > Settings > More>Apps.2. Tab Move to SD card/Move to phone as you need.Managing Other SettingsText-to-speech OutputYou can set the text-to-speech and voice recognitionoptions by pressing Home Key > tap > Settings >Mydevice>Language & input > Text-to-speech output.AccessibilityYou can configure accessibility options foraccessibility-related applications by pressing Home Key >tap > Settings >More> Accessibility.Other ApplicationsClockPress Home key > tap > Clock, you can view the clockand set the alarm.Tap the bottom of the screen icon can be switched to thecountdown and stopwatch functions from the clockinterface.CalculatorYou can use the phone directly perform simplemathematical calculations.1. Press Home Key > Tap > Calculator.2.
