For unitsintended to operate  from battery power, orother sources, refer to the operatinginstructions.11 Grounding or PolarizationThis unit is equipped with a polarizedalternating -current line plug (a  plug havingone blade wider than the other). This plugwill fit into the power outlet only one way.This is a safety feature. If you are unable toinsert the plug fully into the outlet, tryreversing the plug. If the plug still fails to fit,contact your electrician to replace yourobsolete outlet. To prevent electric shock, donot use this polarized plug with an extensioncord, receptacle, or other outlet  unless theblades can be fully inserted without bladeexposure. See example as shown.14 Power LinesAn outside antenna system should not belocated in the vicinity of overhead powerlines, other electric light or power circuits, orwhere it can fall into such power lines orcircuits. When installing an outside antennasystem, extreme care should be taken tokeep  from touching or approaching suchpower lines or circuits as contact with themmight be fatal. Installing an outdoor antennacan be hazardous and should be left to aprofessional antenna installer.15 LightningFor added protection for this unit during alightning storm, or when it is left unattendedand unused for long periods of time, unplugit from the wall outlet and disconnect theantenna or cable system. This will preventdamage to the unit due to lightning andpower line surges. 16 Disc TrayKeep your fingers well clear of the disc as itis closing. Placement and handling                    • The picture and sound of a nearby TV, VCR,or radio may be distorted during playback. Inthis case, position the unit away from the TV,VCR, or radio, or turn off the unit afterremoving the disc.• Do not use volatile liquids, such asinsecticide spray, near the unit. Do not leaverubber or plastic products in contact with theunit for a long period of time. They will leavemarks on the surface.When Not in Use                                         • When the unit is not in use, be sure toremove the disc or tape and turn off thepower. • If you do not use the unit for a long period oftime, remove the remote control batteries toprevent leakage. To use the VCR or view TV channels, you still need to connect the RF cable or the audio/videocables.Method 4 : Connecting to a TV equipped with S-Video in jacksConnect an S-Video cable (not supplied) between the S-Video Out jack on the DVD+VCR to the S-Video In jack on the TV.
