To obtain repair or replacement within the terms of this warranty, the productalong with any accessories included in the original packaging is to be delivered withproof of warranty coverage (e.g. dated bill of sale), specification of the defect(s),transportation prepaid, to the company at the address shown below. Precautions: To ensure safe and effective operation,please be sure to read and understand the followingprecautions before operating your TERK Digital AudioSender. Changes or modificationsnot expressly approved by Terk may cause interferenceand void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.This device complies with part 15 of the FCC riles.Operation is subject to the following two conditions:(1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2)this device must accept any interference received,including interference that may cause undesired operation.LF-DAS3System ContentsYour TERK LF-DAS Digital Audio Sender consist of twounits, the Transmitter (TX) and the Receiver (RX) along withtwo AC adapters.  Also included are three cables. One 3 footlong 3.5mm stereo to RCA (red and white) cable, one 3 footlong USB cable and one 3 foot long 3.5mm stereo to 3.5mmstereo cable.Transmitter (TX): The transmitter connects to your digitalaudio source such as a desktop or laptop computer, iPod orother MP3 player, portable DVD player, or any other audiosource with a USB, 3.5mm stereo, or RCA audio output jack.The transmitter will send your audio signal to the Receiver.The transmitter can operate on 8 different frequencychannels.  You can select the channel with the bestreception by simply pressing the channel select button onthe Transmitter.Receiver (RX): The Receiver connects to the device you wishto listen your audio on.  This could include poweredspeakers, the auxiliary input of a radio, boom box, stereosystem, or your favorite headphones. STEP 2: Setting Up the ReceiverConnect the included 3.5mm stereo / RCAor the 3.5mm stereo audio cable to the “Audio Out” jack on the receiver.  Next, connect the other end to your stereo’s audio input jacks.Connect the AC adapter plug to thetransmitter and then plug the AC adapter into a standard AC outlet.STEP 3: Using Your LF-DAS SystemTurn on the audio source and stereo system.  The transmitter and receiverlink automatically, and the power indicator on the receiver will light.The transmitter has 8 channels.  If you can not hear clear sound or the receiver’s power indicator does not light, press the button on the transmitter labeled “CHANNEL”repeatedly to select a channel with clear sound.Adjust the audio source’s volume to the desired level. LF-DAS6STEP 1: Setting Your TransmitterTo achieve optimal performance and greater receptionrange, keep the transmitter and receiver away fromwireless LAN access points, microwave ovens and wirelessnetworks, phones and baby monitors that operate on2.4GHz frequency.Options for connecting the transmitter.To connect to a laptop, notebook or desktop computer usethe included USB cable to connect to your computer’s USBport and the USB port on the transmitter, or use the3.5mm stereo audio cable and connect to your computer’sheadphone jack and the “AUDIO-IN” jack on thetransmitter. Make sure to put the switch labeled“USB/AUDIO-IN” into the correct position.To connect to an iPod, MP3 player, CD player or portableDVD player use the included 3.5mm stereo cable and pluginto the headphone jack and the “AUDIO-IN” jack of thetransmitter. Make sure to put the switch labeled“USB/AUDIO-IN” into the audio-in position. To connect to a stereo system, use the included 3.5mmstereo to RCA cable.  Connect to the “AUDIO-IN” jack on the transmitter and to the audio out RCA jacks on your stereo. Connect the AC adapter plug to thetransmitter and then plug the AC adapter into a standard AC outlet. To connect to a Mac, select USB speakers as your audio output.• When you change the music source from “LINE-IN” to“USB” and there is no sound, try restarting your musicapplication (such as Windows Media Player).• When you unplug the audio or USB cable and plug it inagain, sound may be lost for 3 – 5 seconds.• Connect the AC adapter to the transmitter only afterconnecting to an audio source.• Use only an adapter that supplies 9V DC and delivers at least 200 mA.
