It is designed and manufactured not to exceedthe emission limits for exposure to radio-frequency (RF) energy. These limits are part ofcomprehensive guidelines and establish permitted levels of RF energy for the general population.The guidelines are based on standards that were developed by independent scientific organizationsthrough periodic and thorough evaluation of scientific studies.These guidelines include a substantialsafety margin designed to ensure the safety of all persons, regardless of age and health.The exposure standard for cellphones employs a unit of measurement known as the SpecificAbsorption Rate, or SAR. Tests for SAR are conducted using standard operatingpositions with the cellphone transmitting at its highest certified power level in all tested frequencybands.Although the SAR is determined at the highest certified power level, the actual SAR level of thecellphone while operating can be well below the maximum value.This is because the cellphone isdesigned to operate at multiple power levels so as to use only the power required to reach thenetwork. In general, the closer you are to a wireless base station antenna, the lower the poweroutput of the cellphone Before a cellphone model is available for sale to the public, compliance withnational regulations and standards must be shown.The highest SAR value for this model cellphone when tested for use at the ear is 0.44 W/Kg andfor use close to the body is 1.1 W/Kg. While there may be differences between the SAR levels ofvarious cellphones and at various positions, they all meet the government requirement for RFexposure.
