Follow the local National Electrical Code. The ballast should be installed by a certified electrician. Never install the ballast while the power supply is connected. Package Use care when you unpacked the ISE Electronic Ballast. Always handle with care. Check the ballast and the wires to make sure that they have not been damaged during the shipment. Do not remove any label from the ballast. Read all labels carefully and follow the instructions. Keep the manual after installation for future reference. Wire Because the ballast produces extremely high voltage you need to use proper cables. ISE recommends - Silicon isolated cables – 1.5mm² (AWG #16), 5kV rated or equivalent compatibility. Socket Wiring Use sockets that are rated 5kV! Carefully connect the wires to the socket. If you use terminals be sure that they are not close to any metal part of the socket in order to prevent arcing which will result in the failure of the bulb to light. Mounting the Ballast Attach the ballast tightly to a flat surface. Allow at least 2”inches (5cm) margin on every side of the ballast. If the ballast is installed within a light fixture, place it as far as possible from the lamp. Do not install the ballast with the wires pointing down!!
