MenuThe menu in your SKYFi2 lets youchange the brightness and contrastof the display, set the FM modulatorfrequency, set the audio level, aimthe Home Antenna, manage yourTuneSelect™list, enter and deletestock symbols from the Stock Ticker,access Info Extras, restore your unitto the factory default settings, andmore. See your SKYFi2 User Guidefor an explanation of these features.To access the menu, press the““mmeennuu””button, use the scroll wheel(or remote) to move the cursor, thenpress the ““XXMM””button to select anoption. Pressing the ““mmeennuu””buttonwill always exit any menu to eitherthe previous menu level or back tothe play screen. If the ““mmeennuu””buttonis not pressed or the cursor is notmoved within 8 seconds, the menuwill time out and automatically returnthe user to the play screen.TuneSelectTuneSelect notifies you when afavorite song or artist is playing ona channel other than the channelyou are currently listening to. Youcan choose to search for songseither by song title or by the artistname, configurable in the menuunder TuneSelect.To store a song title or artist in theTuneSelect list, press and hold the““XXMM””button for 2 seconds whileyou listen to that song. SKYFi2 willbeep once and display “Artist/SongSelected.”
Later, when any song on your list isplaying on another channel, SKYFi2will beep once and display the songand artist name along with the channelname and number where the song iscurrently playing. Press the ““XXMM””button to go to the channel wherethe song is playing. You can use themenu to erase all or only some of thesongs from your TuneSelect list. SSttoocckk TTiicckkeerrYou can track up to 20 stocks with yourSKYFi2. Use the menu to enter yourfavorite stock symbols, and then usethe ““ddiissppllaayy””button to select displaymode 2 in order to view your StockTicker.30-Minute Replay30-Minute Replay gives users theopportunity to finally “hear thatsong again.” Pressing the buttonreplays the previous song, and can beused to replay songs previously lis-tened to over the last 30 minutes.This feature applies to the current lis-tening session only. Turning yourSKYFi2 off removes all songs from theup-to-30-minute buffer. You can alsopause the live broadcast anytime bypressing the ““ppaauussee””button. Pressthe or buttons to skip back tosongs or programs within the last 30minutes. To resume live broadcast,press and hold the button untilSKYFi2 beeps.Built-in FM ModulatorSKYFi2 includes a built-in FM modulatorthat transmits XM audio to your vehicle’sFM radio. Use the menu to select theproper FM frequency, and make surenothing is plugged into SKYFi2’s audiooutput jack.Note: Use of the FM modulator requiresthe installation of the XM SureConnectaccessory. See the SKYFi2 Install Guideand XM SureConnect Vehicle InstallationGuide for additional information. Basic Channel SelectionTurn the scroll wheel, then press “XM” to select.-or-Press the “preset/direct” buttonuntil the “Direct” icon appears,then use the number keys toenter the channel number. Forexample, for channel 50, press“5” then “0” or for channel 121,press “1,” then “2,” then “1.”SSoommee OOtthheerr FFeeaattuurreess ttoo KKnnooww AAbboouutt......PresetsYour SKYFi2 has three banks of pre-sets: A, B, and C. Each bank of pre-sets can hold up to 10 channels for atotal of 30 presets. Use these banksto organize your favorite channels orcreate separate preset banks foradditional users to enjoy. To set a preset, tune to a channeland make sure that it is playing.Then choose between banks A, B, orC by pressing the “preset/direct”button. Then, press and hold (for 2seconds) the number key you wishto assign for that channel. SKYFi2will beep once and display the pre-set number that has been set.To choose a preset channel, press the“preset/direct” button to select thedesired bank. Then, press the numberkey for the preset channel you wish to play.
