If you suspect your battery may be dead, try charging it several times. If the battery does not recharge, please contact us for repair information. For first time use, charge unit for about 8 hours.Charging the UnitCar’s CigaretteLighter1. Connect the micro USB plug to the micro USB charging port on the back of the speaker. 2. Connect the standard USB plug end of the cable to a powered USB port on a computer or other USB charging device and the micro end of the cable into the iDM9. 3. To use with the included 12V car adaptor, connect the car adaptor to the car’s cigarette lighter, connect the standard USB plug to it and connect the micro end to the iDM9.4. The Button light flashes white while the unit is charging and glows steadily white once unit is fully charged. Using Bluetooth: Pairing Your DeviceNOTE: See the iDM9 Bluetooth Connection Guide for complete pairing details.1. Move the Travel Lock/Aux/Bluetooth Switch on the back of the speaker to the Bluetooth position (right).2. Press and hold the Button to turn on the unit (release when button lights up and unit beeps).3. Turn on Bluetooth capability on your device and make it discoverable (see your device’s instructions to add or setup a Bluetooth device).4. Press and hold the Button on the unit until the button flashes white and the unit beeps twice to indicate pairing attempt. The Button will flash while the unit attempts to pair. 5. “iDM9” should appear in your device’s list of Bluetooth devices; its status display may indicate “not paired” or “not connected”. Select iDM9 to connect. If your device asks for a password, enter 1234 on the keyboard of your device. If no device is paired within 2 minutes, the Button light will go out and the Button light will glow red for 2 seconds accompanied by a long beep and the unit will power off. If this occurs, retry steps 2-4.6. Once paired with a device, the Button light will glow steadily white and two beeps will confirm that pairing is complete. There should also be an indication on your device that pairing is complete. On some devices, you must then select “use as a stereo audio device” or similar on the device’s Bluetooth menu. Once paired, your device should autolink to the iDM9 whenever within range. P94
Playing Audio Via Bluetooth P105Using the Speakerphone1. Move the Travel Lock/Aux/Bluetooth Switch to the Bluetooth position to listen to audio streamed wirelessly from your paired iPad, iPhone, iPod or other Bluetooth device.2. Press and hold the Button to turn on the unit. The bluetooth button light will flash as the unit searches for a previously paired device, and then turn solid when a previously paired device is detected.3. Press and release the Button to play or pause audio from your Bluetooth device. NOTE: Play/Pause only works in Bluetooth mode. It does not control aux line-in devices. 4. Use the Volume +/- Buttons to adjust volume.5. When done listening, press the Button to turn the unit off.1. Move the Travel Lock/Aux/Bluetooth Switch to the Bluetooth position (right) to use the speaker as a speakerphone for a linked Bluetooth-capable phone during an incoming or active call. 2. Press and hold the Button to turn on the unit (release when blue light appears).3. The Button will flash red and the Button will flash green during an incoming call.4. When a call is received, playing music is muted to hear the ring tone. Press the Button to answer the call, or press the Button to ignore it.5. Use the Volume +/- Buttons to adjust volume. 6. When the call is completed, press the Button or Button to end the call and resume previous function.
P1161. Move the Travel Lock/Aux/Bluetooth Switch to the Aux (middle) position to listen to audio via aux line-in.2. Connect a standard stereo audio cable with 3.5mm plug (not included) to the Line-in Jack on the back of the speaker and connect the other 3.5 mm audio plug to the headphone or line-out jack on your audio device.3. Press and hold the Button to turn on the unit.4. Place your audio device in play mode5. Use the Volume +/- Buttons to adjust volume. You may wish to adjust the volume on your audio device, too.6. When done listening, press and release the Button to turn the unit off. Remember to turn off your audio device, too.Playing Audio via AuxUnit doesn’t respond (no power) • Make sure unit is completely charged. Check that all connections are correct and properly plugged in. Make sure your device is properly paired with the iDM9.• Make sure the Travel Lock/Aux/Bluetooth Switch is not in the position, as this will disable operation.Resetting the unitIf the unit does not respond properly or appears to be “frozen”, you may wish to try resetting it. To do so, press and hold the Button and the Button simultaneously for about 3 seconds, or while in Bluetooth mode, press and hold the + and – Buttons simultaneously for about 8 seconds. Doing so will restore the unit to default settings. NOTE: After a reset, you will need to re-pair your Bluetooth device(s).Trouble pairing device/computer with iDM9Bluetooth implementation varies depending on your computer’s hardware and operating system. Please see our website for updates on pairing. • Make sure you have the latest firmware for your iPad, iPhone or iPod (update via iTunes if needed). • Make sure your device is working properly.
