Important Safety InformationFollow all warnings and instructions marked on theproduct or contained in the owner’s manual.When using this product, always follow basic safetyprecautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock andinjury to persons, including the following:This unit is NOT waterproof. DO NOT expose this unit torain or moisture.Do not use this product near water, for example, near abath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink or laundry tub, in awet basement or near a swimming pool.Do not use the telephone to report a gas leak in thevicinity of the leak.Use only the power adapters, power cords and batteriesindicated in the manual.If more than one type of power adapter is included in theproduct, the manual specifies which adapter should beused for each component. Be sure to use the properadapter for each product component.Do not place the power cord where it creates a trip hazardor where it could become chafed and create a fire orelectrical hazard.Do not subject the product to high temperatures or leaveit in direct sunlight for an extended period of time.Never dispose of any batteries in a fire: batteries canexplode if subjected to extreme heat.SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS!
Rechargeable Battery InformationCAUTION!Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type!Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.Do not open or mutilate the battery.Disconnect the battery before shipping this product.This equipment contains a rechargeable Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery.The battery is not user-serviceable. Do not attempt toopen the battery cell. In case of exposure to the cellcontents, wash the affected area thoroughly and seekmedical attention.Do not expose the battery to temperatures in excess of140º F (60º C).Do not short-circuit the battery.Exercise care when handling the battery aroundconducting materials such as rings, bracelets, andbuttons: conducting materials can short the battery, andthe battery or conductor can overheat and cause burns.When charging this equipment, only use the chargerdesigned to charge the battery pack as specified in theowner's manual: using any other charger may damage theproduct or cause the battery pack to explode.Before placing the handset in the charger, make sure thebattery is installed and the battery cover is securely inplace.Do not place the batteries in your regular trash. Allbatteries must be recycled or disposed of in anenvironmentally sound manner. Contact your local wastemanagement officials for information and regulations onthe proper collection, recycling, and disposal of batteries.Rechargeable batteries must be recycledor disposed of properly.
