To maintain compliance with FCC RF expo-sure requirements, body-worn operations are restricted to the supplied belt-clip. The use of accessories that do not satisfy these requirements may not complywith FCC RF exposure requirements and should be avoided. Before making a call, monitor the channel to make sure that no one is using the frequency (optional).  To monitor the channel depress and hold the monitor button(I).5. To make a call press and hold the PTT key (G) on the side of the radio and speakinto the microphone.  The LED indicator (C) will flash red confirming transmission.6. For best voice translation speak directly into the microphone (F) using normalvoice levels.  Release the PTT key when you are finished speaking. 7. Incoming messages are received through the built in speaker (E).  Adjust thespeaker sound level by rotating the volume control knob as follows:  clockwise:higher, counter-clockwise: lower.  Incoming messages are confirmed by green flash-ing light on LED indicator.8. The headset jack (D) allows addition of audio accessories including speaker micro-phone and lightweight and heavy-duty headsets.Using Your HeadsetsOur headsets include special noise cancelling microphones.  For optimum performance adjust micro-phone boom so the element is directly in front of, andapproximately 1 - 2” from the user’s mouth.IntroductionEach Scrambler UHF is factory programmed to provide discreet pri-vate two-way voice contact.  All outgoing transmissions are digi-tally encrypted and scrambled to prevent eavesdropping.  Inaddition, CTCSS frequency guard protects the receive circuit byblocking outside interference.  Combined, these features ensurethat communications remain completely private.FeaturesOperation1. Slide battery onto the back of the transceiver until the latch at the bottom clicks,then follow the charging procedure before operation.2. The Power switch / volume control knob (B) turns the transceiver on and off andalso sets the incoming sound level.  Turn the power switch / volume control clockwiseto turn the transceiver on.3. Set the operating channel via the Channel Selector (A).  Rotate the Channel Knob setting it to the desired channel.  Channel numbers are printed on the radio.  Theradio features an audible channel announcement and will tell the user the channel se-lected.ChargingLow Battery Indicator:Double audio beep every 5 seconds indicates low battery power.  Recharge accordingly.1. After purchase, or after extended storage (greater than 2 months) charge and dis-charge the battery two or three times.2. Plug the AC adapter cable into the jack located on the rear of desktop charger base.3. Slide the transceiver and battery pack into the charger.4. Plug adapter into AC outlet.5. Make sure the battery pack contacts are touching the terminals.6. LED indications:  RED: charging, GREEN: full charge.7. Remove the transceiver from charging base when charging is completed.
