3Introduction to Appearance of Mouse and ReceiverIn addition to the two sets of buttons on the Fantasy Mouse, it offers a third set ofwheel keys, and a set of lights in front of the wheel keys to remind the users for thelow level of the battery.  The wireless receiver has a set of buttons, in addition it alsohas a set of simple LED and two sets of lights, such LED shows in hexadecimal 0-Findicating the current channel used to the user.Basic Installation of the MouseIn addition to plugging the PS/2 connector of the wireless receiver to the PS/2 socketof the main computer system (it should be done before power on), we still need toremember to put a No. 3 battery in the battery slot in the bottom of the mouse due tothe wireless signal transmission requires electric power for proper operation.Switching Wireless ChannelSince the Fantasy Mouse can support a total of 13 wireless channels, users can selecttheir channels by themselves.  To switch channels, we need to simultaneously pressthree sets of buttons (including the wheel).  When the other set of lights are lit, we canstart to change channels.  Then press the right button to switch channels, and thechannels are changing in the hexadecimal sequence from 0 to F.  After the selectioncompletes, press the left button to start using such channel for operation.Insufficient Battery Indicating LightThe light disposed in the front of the wheel button will be lit automatically when thevoltage of the battery in the mouse is lower than the output signal 1.1V.  It remindsthe users to replace new battery.
4Installation of Utility ProgramThe provided utility program  RF Wheel Mouse 1.0 can be used to install theprogram drivers, and it also can provide additional functions. After the properinstallation of the mouse, insert the program driver disk into the floppy disk drive, andpress “SETUP” icon to start the installation.STEP 1:First you will see the screen of the  RF Wheel Mouse 1.0  software copyrightannouncement.STEP 2:Choose to install the Chinese or English version of the program drivers and utilityprogram.STEP 3:Install the program according to personal needs to a designated directory (you canchange the directory for the installed programs by yourself.)Introduction to Special Functions of the Utility ProgramSuch program driver will be merged into the “mouse setup” function of the controlpanel, and add two sets of functions “Scrolling” and “Press Button” to the menu.Scrolling FunctionIt mainly offers the two functions “scrolling modes” and “vertical scroll speed”.  Inthe scrolling modes, it provides the commonly executed program for the users.  Whenthe program supports the vertical wheel function of the “Intelli-Mouse” system, itprovides a smoother scroll, but it will be disabled for the supporting programs.  Thevertical scroll speed supports the vertical scroll bar for a specific rows and pageswhen the wheel is rolling.  (Users can specify the number of rows per scroll.)“Button” FunctionIt mainly provides the support functions of the middle wheel.  Since the programdriver supports the functions of the 4-key mouse, the configuration of the 4th set ofbuttons has no function.  We only need to choose the selection of the supportingfunctions of the 3rd button.  After pressing the “SELECT”, the functions provided areas follows:Scroll by Using CursorIt provides users a way to set up the wheel to support the vertical scroll and thehorizontal scroll according to the requirement of executed program, and also tochange its sensitivity according to personal preference.ZoomingAfter the user presses the wheel, the program will magnify the area where the cursoris according to the specified pixel size in rectangular area and in specified proportion.It provides users a better view for observing smaller area.Auto ScrollAfter pressing the button, the cursor will change to a specific symbol and provide
5users to scroll the vertical and horizontal scroll bars to browse every corner of thedocument and web page.  It is very useful for users who frequently view a wide rangeof a document.Complimentary Function of the Vertical ScrollingIt provides 3 types of additional functions to the vertical scroll including Zooming ofthe Office 97 documents, shift key to lock and switch the vertical scroll to horizontalscroll, which is very suitable for those users using this specific function.Other FunctionsAfter pressing the middle wheel, it can support 37 sets of buttons and functions in themenu, and can be set as the user-defined keys.  Among them, it includes the specialkeys of “Backspace”, “F1”, and “Delete” or activates the special functions of “Copy”and “File Manager”.Hardware Maintenance and Simple DebuggingIf the mouse does not move smoothly, you should clean the rolling ball and the rollingaxial portion in the mouse.1. Open the cover of the rolling ball, take the ball out, wipe with a clean cloth.  Openthe cover of the rolling ball by turning it in the anti-clockwise direction.2. There are three sets of rolling axes in the space of the rolling ball.  Remove thedust or any other miscellaneous matter by using a Q-tip.  Dip the Q-tip in alcoholfor the effective cleaning if it is not easy to remove the dust.3. Put the rolling ball back in to its original position after completing the cleaning.Installation Configuration and TroubleshootingIf the cordless mouse cannot be installed or used, try the following steps for thetroubleshooting.1. Make sure the PS/2 connector of the wireless receiver is properly installed to thesocket of the main system of the computer.  And observe the surrounding of themouse receiver whether or not there is any other electronic device that mayinterfere the wireless transmission.2. Make sure that the mouse is the correct model, and it has at least a minimumamount of electricity in the battery.3. Keep the distance between the receiver and the mouse in a meter (the maximumis 1.5 m.).  If there are other interferences, the transmission distance will beshortened. We can change to other channels to resolve this problem.4. If the working desktop is a metallic surface, then the transmission distance will be
6shortened.5.
