7Getting StartedPrecautions ( Battery Pack )NOTEThe battery pack may become warm during rechargingor normal use. This is completely normal.Recharging will not commence if internal temperature ofthe battery pack is outside of the allowable temperaturerange (0 °C to 50 °C {32°F to 122 °F}) “Bat-tery Power”. Once the allowable range requirement issatisfied, charging begins automatically. Note that therecharging time varies based on the usage conditions. (Re-charging takes longer than usual when the temperature is10 °C {50 °F} or less.)If the temperature is low, the operating time is shortened. Onlyuse the computer within the allowable temperature range.This computer has a high temperature mode function thatprevents the degradation of the battery in high tempera-ture environments. ( “Battery Power”) A levelcorresponding to a 100% charge for high temperature isapproximately equivalent to an 80% charge level for nor-mal temperature mode.The battery pack is a consumable item. Be sure to charge it before using it for the firsttime.
