You can also control devices located indifferent rooms by integrating an MRF base station. Controlling yourhome is simple with the MXW-920 remote. Splash Proof RF/IR wand-style controllerThe Splash Proof MXW-920 wand-style controller can be usedoutside as well as indoors. It’s the perfect controller for kitchen, bathand poolside use. It is not intended for underwater use or exposureto sugar-based substances (e.g., soda or lemonade). Make sure the MXW-920 is dry when changing batteries. Fast setup of complex systems via Complete Control PC editorTo fully automate an audio/video system, and integrate two wayautomation of servers etc., the programmer must have a detailedknowledge of each component, LAN configuration, WiFi optimization and how the system is connected and operated. MXW-920 OWNER’SMANUALUsing the MXW-920 The MXW-920 displays the title (Main or Device) at the top of thescreen. Below the title, the LCD displays the device or commandnames. All the hard buttons of the MXW-920 are changed to controlthe functions of the selected device.The Title displaysthe main page ordevice you cancontrol.Press either of thePage buttons to seeany other availablechoices. The LCD buttonlabels describe special featuresfor this activity. The Channel andPrevious Channelbuttons changechannels when youhave selected deviceslike CABLE.The 4 way cursorbuttons enable youto navigate onscreen guides andmenus with ease.The Number keypadenters numbers forthe devices you’veselected. Whenwatching Cable TV,use the numberkeypad to enterchannel numbers.When listening to aCD, the numberkeypad enters tracknumbers.The Volume andMute buttons alwayscontrol the soundregardless of whatscreen is displayed.The Transport buttons(Play, Stop, Skip-,Skip+, FF, REW andPause) operate whenthe selected devicerequires them. Whenwatching CableTV, use the numberkeypad to enterchannel numbers.When listening to aCD, the numberkeypad enters tracknumbers.The Light buttonbacklights all ofthe buttons.Page 2

MXW-920 OWNER’SMANUALDisplaying the Settings ScreenYou can adjust the settings of the MXW-920controller whenever you like. Simply press andhold both the Main and the Enter buttons at thesame time for three seconds. The screen displaysthe Setup screen. If you do not press any button onthe Setup screen within 30 seconds, the MXW-920times out and automatically returns to normaloperation. You can return to normal operationbefore that by pressing the Main button.Selecting from the Setup ScreenSimply touch the button for the setting you’d like to adjust:At the same time, press andhold both the Main buttonand the Enter button.When the Setup screenappears, you can release thetwo buttons.Page 3LCD - The appearance of the screen.Light - What the light button does.Sound - The volume of the beeps.System - The battery low warning.Version - No adjustments are possible.Displays factory info.

Page 4Setting the LCDWith these settings, you can set the MXW-920 to constantly displaythe LCD or show a blank screen when not in use. Additionally, youcan control the contrast of the screen and the color of the backlighting.MXW-920 OWNER’SMANUALTo activate the LCD On/Off setting, pressthis button. See below.To activate the Contrast setting, press thisbutton. See the next page.To activate the Brightness setting, pressthis button. See the next page.To exit without saving any changes youhave made, press Exit.LCD Timer Setting:If you set the LCD to OFF, the timer settingsappear. The LCD goes blank after the setamount of time you set here byadjusting the Left and Right arrow keys.The timer can be set to turn off the LCDbetween 10 seconds and 20 minutes.The Timer Interval is displayed here.To save any changes you have made,press Save.To exit without saving any changes youhave made, press Exit.To change the timer interval, press theLeft or Right arrow keys.

Page 5MXW-920 OWNER’SMANUALSetting LCD ContrastYou can adjust the contrast of the LCD screen using the Left andRight arrow keys once the LCD Contrast screen has been selected(shown on the previous page).Setting LCD BrightnessYou can adjust the brightness of the LCD screen using the Left andRight arrow keys once the LCD Brightness screen has been selected(shown on the previous page).The current contrast is displayed here via a bar graph.To save any changes you have made,press Save.To exit without saving any changes youhave made, press Exit.Adjust the Contrast setting with the Leftand Right keys as shown in the previouspages.The current brightness is displayed hereas a bar graph.To save any changes you have made,press Save.To exit without saving any changes youhave made, press Exit.Adjust the LCD brightness with the Leftand Right keys as shown in the previouspages.

MXW-920 OWNER’SMANUALPage 6Light SettingsYou can adjust the backlighting of the remote in two additional ways:1. You can turn on/off the LCD and the hard button backlighting.2. You can select the length of time the lighting stays on after thelast button press from a range of values between 10 secondsand 90 seconds.Sound VolumeYour MXW-920 beeps whenever a button is pressed. However, youcan adjust the volume of the beep to one of four levels as shown hereChange whether the backlighting is on oroff by pressing this button.If you want the backlighting always off,set it to OFF.If you would like the backlighting on,select ON.The current timer setting is displayedhere in seconds.Adjust the backlighting timer setting withthe Left and Right keys as shown in theprevious pages.The current Beep volume is displayedhere as a “bar.”Adjust the volume of the beep by tapping the left and right arrow keysas shown in the previous pages.

Observe the +and - polarity indications inside the battery compartment. Place thefour AAA batteries into their positions in the battery compartmentobserving the + and - polarity indicators on the batteries.
