6 The following safety instructions and precautions should be observed during normal use, service and repair. Do not change anything regarding the dvd reader or the installation procedure. Always switch off the power (by disconnecting the power plug) before you remove the cover. Always apply the brake to the trolley when it is not moved.
7 The intelligent book- and cd trolley can be used for checking in books and cd‟s. The trolleys are equipped with 13.56MHz inductive antennas, which are connected to a DVD 13.56MHz transceiver. The transceiver is connected to a pc inside a flexdesk. When an item with an RFID tag is placed inside the trolley, it is detected by the antennas and transceiver. The Bibliocheck4Intelligentshelf software processes the new item by checking it in into an external 3rd party database. This document describes the hardware and software installation for an intelligent book- or cd trolley. The following items are included: 1x [A] Infodesk with pre-installed embedded pc, touchscreen, DVD 13.56MHz transceiver, network switch, optionally multiplexer 1x [B] Book or CD/DVD trolley (any combination possible, dependent of your order) 1x [C] 2M UTP network cable A B or C D E F G

9 Installation scheme: Step 1: Connect the Infodesk [A] to the wall socket with power cable [F] and to the UTP wall socket with UTP cable [C]. Connectors are located on the back of the Info desk and Step 2: Insert the antenna cable into the receptable at the back of the trolley. The cable is already connected to the Infodesk.
10 Step 3: Turn on the power switch at the back of the Infodesk and proceed to SOFTWARE INSTRUCTIONS
