Nexto-CF ND-2525 CF Card Back Device                 NextoDI inc.    As more and more people starting to use digital camera, it is essential to back up the date in the memory card. However, the price of memory card is still very high while the price of HDD is getting down everyday. Using Nexto-CF you can back up data in a CF card to HDD by just pressing a button. Nexto-CF is run by internal batteries so you can take it outside with only one or two CF cards without worrying about when the memory card would run out of space.    Backup the data into Nexto-CF, erase the data in the CF card and keep on taking pictures. It is as simple as that. With Nexto-CF you can access every function with only one button. You can either press the button once or you hold down the button more than 2 seconds to command the needed function.    The list of commands and processes are displayed on the LCD windows, so it is very easy to use and check what is going on. The functions of Nexto-CF includes CF card backup, auto formatting so you don’t need to connect to PC to format new HDD and self shut down.
 You can connect Nexto-CF to PC either using IEEE1394 connection or USB 2.0 connection. With IEEE 1394 connection, Nexto-CF uses bus power so no battery power is consumed and with USB 2.0, Nexto-CF consumes very little battery power.    The internal battery can be charged when connected to PC through IEEE 1394. While Nexto-CF is connected to PC in either way, CF card backup function will not work however Nexto-CF functions as CF card reader.    External Ports and Button Usages   A button and a LCD screen is located on the front panel of Nexto-CF. All the functions of Nexto-CF is controlled by single button. There are 2 ways to press the button. You can either press it once or press it down for more than 2 seconds. On LCD screen the command description is preceded by either “L” of “S” sigh. For “L” sign press down the button for more than 2 seconds and for “S” sign press the button once.    To back up data from CF card or MicroDrive card, insert CF card or MicroDrive card into the CF card slot on top of Nexto-CF labeled “CF/MD” Than press the button once and the backup will begin.  copy
 To connect Nexto-CF to PC, you can either use IEEE1394 or USB 2.0 connection. The ports are at the bottom of Nexto-CF.    To charge internal battery, use AC adaptor to connect out let on the wall and Nexto-CF. The port to connect AC adaptor is at the bottom of Nexto-CF.    You can use optional external battery. Connect the external battery to the port at the bottom of Nexto-CF. Use only the battery provided by Nexto-DI.
