05.20034Introduction• The dispenser must  be placed  on  a table  ora counter.• On customer’s demand,  different dispenserfunctions (e.g. drink  recipes) can beprogrammed by the  service technician.• Different payment systems  or a cup  heatercan be connected  to the  dispenser.• Several options are  available for thedispenser (see chapter  Options).• The Service Technician  can change thedispenser over, e.g.  for the  additionaldelivery of café  cool, iced cappuccino,  icedchoco (optional).The manufacturer can  not be heldliable for dispensers,  that were usedfor purposes other  than thosespecified in this  manual.Before putting the  dispenser intooperation, read the  chapter SafetyInstructions.INTRODUCTION• The dispenser has  especially been developedfor commercial applications.The dispenser is  excellently suited for  thequick and easy  delivery of  high  quality coffeeand other hot  drinks.• The dispenser is  to be used  for the  deliveryof hot beverages  such as coffee,  decaf,espresso, tea, lactiferous  or cocoa-containingbeverages and mixed  beverages (e.g. caféau lait, cappuccino,  Wiener Melange).• The dispenser is  exclusively intended for  theoperation with special  liquid drinkconcentrates (e.g. coffee,  decaf, tea,lactiferous beverages, cocoa-containingbeverages) provided in  a disposable packBAG IN BOX  (BIB).• Depending on the  dispenser model andequipment the beverages  can be  deliveredinto cups, espresso  cups, small pots,  potsand pump-action thermos  flasks.• Beverages can be  simultaneously deliveredfrom two drink  outlets.• For the delivery  of e.g.  espresso,  cappuccinoand cocoa-containing beverages  thedispenser must be  equipped with  one  ormore mixers.SymbolsNOTEInformation that requires  the operator's particular  attention.WARNINGVital information that  requires recognition in  order to prevent injuries or  malfunctionof the machine.
05.2003 5• The dispenser may  not be subject  to frostduring operation, storage  and transport.- In order to  prevent damage due  to frost,the service technician  must completelydrain the water  from the  boiler  prior tostorage and transport  and must alsoremove any residual  water from hoses  andvalves.- It is recommended  to store and  transportthe dispenser in  its original packaging.- However, if there  is the danger  of damagedue to frost,  the service technician  mustcheck and replace  boiler, hoses  and  valvesif required prior  to reconnecting thedispenser and he  should additionally carryout a functional  test.Health notesNever touch the  power supply plugwith wet hands  or plug it  in if theplug itself is  wet.The liquids delivered  by thedispenser are hot!In order to  prevent scalds, keep  yourhands and other  body parts out  ofthe delivery area  during dispension.SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSGeneral notes• Before putting the  dispenser into  operation,the operator manual  must be carefully  readand fully understood.• Only authorised and  qualified personnel  mayclean, fill up  and set  the  dispenser via  thetouch screen.• The dispenser may  only be installed,programmed and repaired  by speciallytrained service technicians  who are familiarwith the safety  and hygiene  aspects  of thedispenser.• Use only original  spare parts.• The dispenser may  not be  installed  outside.The dispenser must  be placed where  it canbe looked after  by trained personnel.• The dispenser may  not be cleaned  under awater jet and  is not suitable  for installationon surfaces next  to which water  jets arebeing used (e.g.  for cleaning).• If the dispenser  is not  to  be used  for ashorter period of  time (e.g.  over  theweekend), use the  ON/STANDBY/CLEARswitch to activate  the STANDBY  mode.As a result,  the power  supply  is notcompletely interrupted. The  product packscontinue to be  sufficiently cooled  in  theingredient storage unit.• If the dispenser  is not used  for a  very  longtime period (e.g.  during works  holidays),unplug the mains  plug, close  the  water tap,remove the product  packs (BIB) and  storethem in a  refrigerator depending  on  the 'bestbefore date'.Safety Instructions
05.20036Electrical connection• If the power  supply cable of  the dispenser  isdamaged it may  only be replaced  by aworkshop approved by  the manufacturer,  asspecial tools are  needed for  the  replacement.• The dispenser must  be connected  to  thedrinking water line  and to  the  electric line  incompliance with local  regulations.• The dispenser must  be connected to  asecured electric circuit.We recommend to  install a  fault  currentsafety switch. The  connection must be  madeusing an earthed  safety plug  socketcomplying with valid  regulations.After the dispenser  has beeninstalled, the power  supply plugmust be accessible.Observe the local  regulations!• If the dispenser  is operated with  apermanently wired current  supply (withoutmains plug) the  electric circuit  must  beequipped with a  circuit breaker with  a contactopening of at  least 3 mm that controls  allpoles.Safety instructionsHygiene• Observe the instructions  given on the  packsregarding correct handling  and storing  of  theproduct packs (BIB).The drinking water  quality must bechecked prior to  the delivery of  coldbeverages. Observe the  regulationsspecific for the  country!• Regular cleaning of  the dispenser  isnecessary for functional  and hygienicreasons.When cleaning, take  care of sharpedges. There is  danger of injuries!• To clean the  housing only  use  cleaningagents approved by  the food industry.• The special cleaning  agent must be  used forcleaning.• Clean the inside  and outside of  the dispenserby using a  damp cloth and  do not  splash  it.
05.2003 7HACCP GUIDELINESGuidelines• For correct operation  of the  dispenser,  at least  the guidelinesmentioned below must  be observed.  The  operator is  held responsiblefor the correct  operation.Storage of the  Cafitesse products• Store coffee, tea  and cocoa  in  a freezer  at -18 °C/0  °F (fig. 1).• Thaw coffee, tea  and cocoa in  a refrigerator  at  +6 °C/43  °F (thistakes approx. 3  days).• Store milk in  a refrigerator  at  +6 °C/43  °F (fig. 2).• Always use the  packs according  to  the 'first-in-first-out'  principle(observe the 'best  before date'  on  the pack).Handling of the  products• Ensure hygienic handling:- wash hands (fig.  3),- keep the working  area tidy,- work  hygenically.• Check the pack  for any damage  and shake  it  vigorously (10  times)before use (fig.  4).• Observe the user  instructions on the  pack.• Mark the actual  date on  the  pack and  insert the pack  into thedispenser (fig. 5).• Dispense a cup  and check it.• Use packs within  the recommended  time  period (see  indications onthe pack).Cleaning of the  dispenser• Observe the cleaning  instructions for the  dispenser.• Only use cleaning  agents that  are  approved by  the food industry  andrecommended by the  Cafitesse supplier  (fig.  6).Observe the safety  and operating instructions  indicated onthe cleaning agent.• Fill in the  cleaning record card.Filing• File service and  maintenance reports  of  DECS representatives(fig. 7).Service of the  dispenser• When the display  indicates an  error  message, follow  thecorresponding instructions on  the screen.Training• Keep the operator  manual close to  the dispenser.• Implement the activities  on the  work  schedules.• Train new staff  on HACCP  guidelines  (fig. 8).• If there are  any further questions  please contact  your  DECSrepresentative.❄❄❄❄-18 °CcoffeeteacocoaDATE OPENED+ 7 DAYS =EXPIRATION DATE1+6 °C2coffee milk345678Cleaning Cleaning       AgentAgent5002500Safety Instructions

05.20031012small medium largePlease make your  selectionOPERATIONPUTTING INTO OPERATION• Open the water  tap and  plug  in the  mains plug.• Wait until the  correct ingredient  storagetemperature is reached.  The display  indicates  acorresponding message.• Insert the product  packs (1). Please  observe theproduct stickers (2)  when doing  so  (fig. 9).Mark the date  on the pack.The stickers at  the panel indicate  whichproduct pack (BIB)  must be inserted  atwhich position.A corresponding message  is indicated onthe display when  the water  temperature  inthe boiler is  not correct if  this function hasbeen programmed.
