It is designed not to exceed68 Additional safety informationCyanCyanMagentaMagentaYellowYellowBlackBlack
the limits for exposure to radio wavesrecommended by internationalguidelines. These guidelines weredeveloped by the independent scientificorganisation ICNIRP and include safetymargins designed to assure theprotection of all persons, regardless ofage and health. The exposure guidelines for mobiledevices employ a unit of measurementknown as the Specific Absorption Rateor SAR. The SAR limit stated in the ICNIRPguidelines is 2.0 watts/kilogram (W/kg)averaged over 10 grams of tissue. Testsfor SAR are conducted using standardoperating positions with the devicetransmitting at its highest certifiedpower level in all tested frequencybands. The actual SAR level of anoperating device can be below themaximum value because the device isdesigned to use only the power requiredto reach the network. That amountchanges depending on a number offactors such as how close you are to anetwork base station. The highest SAR value under the ICNIRPguidelines for use of the device at theear is 0.97 W/kg.Use of device accessories may result indifferent SAR values. SAR values mayvary depending on national reportingand testing requirements and thenetwork band. Additional SARinformation may be provided underproduct information atwww.nokia.com.Your mobile device is also designed tomeet the requirements for exposure toradio waves established by the FederalCommunications Commission (USA) andIndustry Canada. These requirementsset a SAR limit of 1.6 W/kg averaged overone gram of tissue. The highest SARvalue reported under this standardduring product certification for use atthe ear is 1.14 W/kg and when properlyworn on the body is 0.39 W/kg.Additional safety information 69CyanCyanMagentaMagentaYellowYellowBlackBlack
