Introduction                            This mini PCI adapter contains a dual-mode single chip MAC/BB/Radio for IEEE 802.11a or b/g Wireless LAN. Based on the latest industry standard Wi-Fi Certified IEEE 802.11a or b/g specifications, the mini PCI adapter supports key security features like Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), WPA2, WEP and 802.1x.   The mini PCI adapter has four variants in its family: •  WLM54G: This mini PCI adapter’s  “G” chipset offers maximum channel speeds of up to 54Mbps in the frequency band of 2.4 GHz based on 802.11b/g.  •  WLM54AG: This mini PCI adapter’s  “AG” chipset offers maximum channel speeds of up to 54Mbps in the frequency bands of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz based on 802.11b/g and 802.11a respectively.  You can find this adapter that is seated inside the wireless products such as the notebook computers or any other devices containing Mini PCI socket. The PCI adapter can be removed from or inserted on the PCBA of the Compex products.    2. Packaging Contents  The PCI adapter’s retail package contains the following item(s):  •  1 x Wireless Mini PCI adapter  3. Application     Align the PCI adapter to the Mini PCI socket.  Adjust and push down the PCI adapter gently until the metal-locking levers aside from the Mini PCI socket is fastened. (Please take note that the PCI adapter can only fit in one direction due to the keyed notch. Wrong orientation will cause improper installation and may damage the Mini PCI  socket ! ).     Connect the antenna(s) on the PCI adapter. For example, if you connect to one, the other will be disabled. 2, every type of antenna should be used followed the application requirement. It mustn’t be used for other frequency range except it does be required.
