Battery Compartment Cover Using the Water DetectorThe Water Detector works as a stand-alone unit which can be placed where leaks may occur and has an audible alert when liquid is detected. It may also be used with a Wireless Receiver (sold separately) which can be placed in a living area, ensuring that you hear the alert.Placement GuidelinesWater will naturally ow towards the low point of the area that is beings monitored. For the best results, place Water Detector in an area where water is most likely to collect.You may place the Water Detector upright in the desired location (Figure A), or mount the base with the wired sensor placed on ground level (Figure B). NOTE: The sensor is water-resistant and is designed to detect the presence of liquid/leaks. However, to extend it’s life, place the Water Detector in an area where it will not remain submerged in liquid.Remove the battery compartment cover.Set the A-B-C switch located inside the battery compartment. You must select the same letter choices for both the detector and the receiver in order for the units to synchronize.  Insert 3 x AA batteries into the battery compartment for the Receiver, as shown.
