It allows you to set your personalizedheating and cooling schedules, adjust temperatures in real time, view up todate weather reports and review temperatures in your home over a chosenperiod - all from one screen.Your  Home pageYour home page displays your weather, thermostat and temperaturewidgets. Your Thermostat WidgetThe Thermostat widget gives you control of the heating and cooling in yourhome.  From here you can quickly and simply set your system to work howyou want it to and putting you in control. Quick Start GuideYour AlertMe Hub and In Home Thermostat (CT30) have already beeninstalled so you are almost ready to go. To start using your AlertMeClimate Control system, follow these simple steps.Accessing your Online ThermostatTo access your Online Thermostat dashboard go to {XXX}.alertme.com and sign inusing the username and password that have been given to you.Tip! Bookmark this page so you can easily access your system again in the futureSetting up your Online Thermostat and enabling Automatic Controla.  Click on the Thermostat widget on your dashboard to enter the detailed screenb.  Switch to Heating or Cooling mode as requiredc. Set the Temperature slider to Autod.  Check your temperature schedule and adjust the temperatures for ‘Night’ and ‘Day’ as required.e.  Set an Away temperature for when you are out of the house. The Away temperature setting is located at the bottom of the screen.f.  Make sure to submit your settings by clicking on the ‘Submit’ button at the bottom of the screen. g. Your Keyfobs are already set up to operate your Thermostat so just attach one of them to your house keys to enjoy the convenience of automatic Thermostat control.Adjusting Temperature manually onlineUsing the website or iPhone app, on your Temperature widget, simply adjust thetemperature slider up or down to select the temperature you want. Any changeswill take eect within 10 minutes.Note: If you are in Auto mode and have manually changed the temperature yourThermostat will return to its pre- programmed temperature whenever you enter orleave the house, or at the next program time (for example when you go to bed).
Adjusting Temperature and mode manually through your In Home ThermostatTo manually adjust the temperature in your home:a.  Touch the large number on your In Home Thermostatb.  Use the arrow icons to adjust the temperature.c. Press the house to save your adjustment.To manually adjust mode, press the mode button on the right hand side of your InHome Thermostat. You can cycle through Heat, Cool or O by pressing this button.Note: If you are in Auto mode and have manually changed the temperature yourThermostat will return to its pre- programmed temperature whenever you enter orleave the house, or at the next program time (for example when you go to bed).
My In Home Thermostat is not changingtemperature when I adjust temperatureon my Online Thermostat. Why?Please wait for up to 2 minutes after makingchanges on your Online Thermostat forchanges to take aect in your home.My In Home Thermostat doesn’t turn myClimate system o as soon as I leave myhouse. Why?AlertMe waits until a Keyfob has been out ofthe house for approximately 10 minutesbefore taking any action. This is so yoursystem does not turn on or o unnecessarily,for example when you briefly leave thehouse to collect the mail or dump the trash.However, when you return home the Keyfobis detected immediately and adjusts youThermostat to your ‘at home’ temperature.Do the Keyfobs do anything if I am notusing Auto mode?No.  Keyfobs are used solely to determinewhen you are in and out of the house toenable Auto mode.What happens in Auto mode when I takea Keyfob out of the house?The temperature changes to the awaytemperature whe all the Keyfobs enabled onyour system are out of the house.What are the buttons on the Keyfobs for?When operating the system in Auto modethey allow you to switch between ‘home’and ‘away’ temperature whilst the keyfob isstill in the house.  You could, for example,press the away button as you leave thehouse rather than waiting for the keyfob tobe detected as away.What happens if I change temperatureusing the AlertMe website or iPhone appwhen I am out of the house?The temperature you set will be sent toyour Thermostat and it adjusts your systemaccordingly. When you, or someone else,with a Keyfob, returns home the systemwill return to the temperature set in yourAuto program.I do not want to come home to anuncomfortably hot or cold house but stillwant to save energy.  How can I ensure this?You can use the iPhone app or AlertMewebsite to change the temperature whenyou are on your way home to ensure youonly heat or cool your house when needed,saving energy. For example, if you are incooling mode and your home has an ‘away’temperature of 85F and a ‘home’temperature of 78F, in order to start coolingyour home so that it is comfortable on yourreturn you can use your iPhone to set thetemperature to 80F on your way home. Bysetting it 5F higher than your ‘home’temperature your home will start to coolwithout using as much energy as setting it to78F. On your return your system will furthercool to 78F when your Keyfob is detected.Can I adjust my system without goingonline?Yes. You can use your In Home Thermostat tochange temperature and switch betweenmodes (heat/ cool/ o). What is the Battery life of the Keyfobsand In Home Thermostat?Approximately 18 months.Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I check the battery level of my InHome Thermostat and Keyfobs?Go to the ‘Devices’ menu on your OnlineDashboard. Here you will see the currentbattery level of all your devices.How does my In Home Thermostatconnect to my Hub?AlertMe connects all of your deviceswirelessly. No additional wiring is required.How far can my In Home Thermostat befrom my Hub without losing wirelessconnection?As with any wireless system this depends ona number of factors but the system has beendesigned to work in domestic houses andhas sucient range to operate through up to2 internal walls.My Hub is showing as O ine.  What doesthis mean?This means that your Hub is no longerconnected to the Internet.  Check all of theconnections to the Hub and yourbroadband router and that both areplugged into a live mains supply.  If thisdoes not fix the problem try turning youbroadband router o and on again.I can’t set my away temperature to thesame range as I can my day and nighttemperatures, why is this?The away temperature cannot be set lowerthan either the day or night temperatures(cool mode) or higher than either the dayor night temperatures (heat mode).  Thisensures the system never costs more torun using Auto mode.Can I use AlertMe Climate Controlwithout using Auto mode, ie as aconventional thermostat?Yes. Your  Onl i ne Ther mos ta t doeseverything a conventional thermostat does,with Hold and Schedule modes accessiblethrough your Online Dashboard.What is Hold Mode?Hold mode allows you to set a singletemperature and run your system at thattemperature forever.  Note: using Holdmode can use more energy unless youremember to manually change thethermostat when, for example, you go outor go to bed.  If you do forget you can alsouse the iPhone app or website to make anadjustment away from home.What is Schedule Mode?Schedule mode is similar to Auto butchanges temperature at a fixed time everyday irrespective of whether you are athome or out of the house.  Using theKeyfobs and Auto mode to determine whenyou are actually in your house should saveyou more energy.What is Auto Mode?In Auto mode you can set an overnight andday temperature.  These will be setwhenever you are in the home.  If you leavethe house the system detects this andautomatically changes your thermostat toyour away temperature.
