Product Description: The MS100 motion sensor isvehicle mounted and monitors vibrations resultingfrom movement of the vehicle. The MS100 motionsensor is triggered after the piezo film sensormounted on the PCB detects movement for acontinuous one-minute period. The motion sensor, which is a three wire device, provides a positiveoutput when triggered. The MS100 motion sensordevice contains a receiver that receives a signal fromthe KF100 Key FOB.The MS100 motion sensor trigger circuit is by-passedwhen it receives a signal from the KF100 Key FOB.The Key FOB emits a RF output every 70 secondsand when the signal is received by the motion sensorthe trigger circuit is inactivated for four minutes.Mounting the MS-100: The MS100 motion sensorcan be mounted either vertically or horizontally.Performance will not vary when the module ismounted in either of these positions. Mountingbrackets have been provided in the tooled plasticcase to aid in installation of the module. The moduleshould be mounted in a location of the automobile, away from heat and in an area that will provideaccurate detection if the vehicle is moved or towed.Key FOB: The KF-100 Key FOB is manufacturedto be carried with the vehicles owners keys. A 3.6 voltlithium battery should be replaced in the FOB everyeighteen months to assure maximum range and toavoid the MS100 from false triggering.2
Adjustments: The MS100 film sensor and KF100Key FOB are pre adjusted from the manufacturer and“DO NOT” require additional tuning or adjusting.Wiring: The MS100 film sensor has three wires thatmust be connected in order for the module to workproperly. The “RED” wire is connected to positivevolts DC. The “BLACK” wire is connected to negative12 volts DC. The “GREEN” wire produces a positive12 volt DC output and is connected to the input ofanother device, which could be an alarm device or acommunication device. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following tow conditions:(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, (2) This device must accept any interference received, Including interference that may cause undesired operation.LOJACK CORPORATIONFCC ID: IDIKF1003
