InstallationInstalling the Water Sensor:1. Remove the battery tab from the Sensor.2. Place the Sensor on the oor anywhere you want to detect water. Make sure it is placed with the logo side facing up and that the Sensor is at to the surface. (Optional) Installing the Water Sensor with the connected Water Sensor Extender:1. Remove the cover on the Sensor.2. Loosen the screws on the Sensor.3. Wrap the end of one of the wires from the Water Sensor Extender around the head of one of the screws on the Water Sensor. Repeat this step for the second wire and screw.4. Tighten the screws on the Sensor to keep the wires in place. TIP: Place the wire in the small hole next to the screw to easily keep the wire in place while wrapping it around the head of the screw. 5. Place the Sensor on the oor or mount it to the wall using the nail or double-sided adhesive tape provided. If you’re placing the Sensor on the oor, make sure it is placed with the logo side facing up and that the Sensor is at to the surface.6. Place the end of the Water Sensor Extender in its desired location and mount it using the screw or double-sided adhesive tape provided. • Make sure the prongs on the end of the Water Sensor Extender are in close proximity to the area in which you want to detect water. Including the Sensor (adding it to the network)TIP: For best results, we recommend having the Hub in the same room as the Sensor you are Including. 1. Press the Pairing button on the Hub once to put the Hub in Inclusion mode. The light on the Hub will start ashing Green.• NOTE: If you are pairing this to the Hub36, the color of the ashing light will be Yellow.2. Press the Pairing button on the Sensor to Include the Sensor to the network. • When the light on the Sensor turns solid White and the light on the Hub turns solid Green, the Sensor has been successfully Included.• NOTE: If you are pairing this to the Hub36, the color of the solid light on the Hub36 will be Yellow.TroubleshootingIf the Sensor is not communicating with the Hub1. Try Excluding it from the network (see below) and Include it again.2. If step 1 does not resolve the issue, we recommend installing a Z-Wave Repeater nearby.TIP: Any wall powered Z-Wave device will act as a Repeater and improve the range between the Hub and the Z-Wave device you are installing.Excluding the Sensor (removing it from the network)TIP: For best results, we recommend having the Hub in the same room as the Sensor you are Excluding.1. On the Hub, press and hold the Pairing button for 5 seconds until the light ashes Orange to put the Hub in Exclusion mode. While you’re holding the Pairing button, the light will be ashing Green before it turns Orange. • NOTE: If you are using the Hub36, the color of the ashing light will be Red.2. Press the Pairing button on the Sensor to Exclude it from the network.• The light on the Sensor will start ashing and the ashing Orange light on the Hub will turn solid to indicate the device has been successfully Excluded. • NOTE: If you are using the Hub36, the color of the solid light will be Red.
