81 Serial port setting for WinCE The use of a Bluetooth wireless serial port connection is identical to the use of a physical cable serial port connection between two devices. As with a physical connection, the application that will use the connection must be configured to use the correct serial port. To determine the COM port assigned to the Bluetooth serial port: 1. From the Today Screen, tap the Bluetooth icon to open the Bluetooth Control Panel. 2. Use the scroll arrows at the bottom-right of the screen to expose the Serial Port tab, and then select the Serial Port tab. The Outbound COM Port is listed in the lower portion of the screen. Configure the application that will use the Bluetooth Serial Port to send data to this port.
82 ActiveSync setting for WinCE 1. To establish the ActiveSync connection on a PDA, please tap "ActiveSync via Bluetooth" from the Bluetooth connection wizard, and click "Next". 2. Make sure your computer is capable of accessing your PDA, and determine which "COM" port number ( For example "COM6") is used for incoming Bluetooth connections (refer to ActiveSync setting for Windows section). You will need this information later. Tap "Next" to next step. 3. Make sure your PC side's ActiveSync "Connection Settings" is using the right COM port, click "Next".

86 Hosting a Personal Area Network To host a personal network, go to the Bluetooth Manager, choose New > Connect > Join a personal network > Next. The following screen will be shown: Choose Host a personal network and tap Next. You will then be shown the following screen, which allows you to "bring in" one or more guests, if desired. This step is optional, since guests can join later on as long as the personal network is active (more details in the following section). Adding devices to a personal network. Joining a Personal Area Network BTW-CE makes it easy to join an existing personal network, hosted by another Bluetooth device (PocketPC, desktop, etc.) From the Bluetooth Manager, choose New > Connect > Join a personal network > Next, but choose Join a personal network this time. The Bluetooth Browser will be shown for you to select the device that is hosting the personal
87network. After selecting the host, choose Next. A connection will then be established between your PocketPC and the host over the personal network. At this moment, you might be prompted to enter IP network settings ; if this is the case, choose "Use server-assigned IP address" and tap OK. The following warning may also be shown to you. As instructed, change the name of your device and tap OK. Since the network is established via Bluetooth, the network host's service availability, authorization and/or authentication security settings are in effect and may prevent you from joining the network. PAN network settings. After joining the personal network, you can use any application that requires an underlying network connection. For instance, you can view a remote folder via the File Explorer by choosing Open and entering a remote, accessible device path.

96 How to sync with Ericsson T68 via XTNDConnectPC 如何透過 XTNDConnectPC 與Ericsson T68 同步 (A) Assign COM port 指定連接埠 (1) After you have installed Microsoft Outlook and XTNDConnectPC_R2A04_English, you would need to install a new modem to communicate with your mobile phone. 當你安裝完 Microsoft Outlook and XTNDConnectPC 之後，你將需要安裝新的數據機與你的手機相連接。 (2) Go into Start->Settings->Control Panel->Phone and Modem Options, under "Modems" tab, click on "Add", tick the "Do not detect my modem, I will choose from list" and click "Next". 將你的游標移動到開始設定控制台電話與數據機選項，在數據機選項按新增勾選不要偵測我的數據機我將從清單勾選然後按下一步。 (3) Choose Ericsson and Ericsson T68 Bluetooth (TM) Modem, then click "Next". 選擇 Ericsson and Ericsson T68 Bluetooth (TM) Modem 選項按下一步。

111(9) Ignore the error message below and click "OK". (10) "PC Suite for Nokia 7650" will now take over. Click "OK" when the dialog box below appears. (11) Click "OK" when the dialog box below appears.
112(12) Select the functions you wish to use with Nokia PC Suite. (13) Select the program you wish to Synchronize with your system, in our case we use Microsoft Outlook 2000. (14) Once connected, you should see the Connected icon on the right bottom corner.
113 (15) Now you are ready to configure, Synchronize your Nokia 7650 with your system. (16) To disconnect, uncheck the COM port in "Connection Properties".

115 How to establish Bluetooth connection with Nokia PC Suite for Nokia 3650 Please install Bluetooth software and Nokia PC Suite for Nokia 3650 before proceeding. (1) Launch Bluetooth software program, click "Search for devices in range" in the left pane of "My Bluetooth Places" to find your Nokia 3650.
116(2) Double click your Nokia 3650 to find the services it provides.
117(3) Before proceeding, double check the Bluetooth Serial Port in use by the Bluetooth software by clicking Bluetooth-> Advanced Configuration on the menu bar in the "My Bluetooth Places" window. In this case, COM5 is being used as the Bluetooth Serial Port. (4) On the task bar right click the mRouter icon and select "Properties".
118(5) Select COM5 as the port for PC Suite. If you're not sure select all ports as below. (6) Double click the "Bluetooth Serial Port on Nokia 3650" icon in "My Bluetooth Places" window to initiate a connection. Press "Yes" on your Nokia 3650 to accept the connection request from your system when the following window pops up.
