INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF QVT-525A-3 RF SAFETY INFORMATION ! To comply with FCC RF exposure compliance requirements, the antennas used with the 525A-3 must be installed with a minimum separation distance of 20 cm from all persons, and must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. Instillation should be accomplished using the authorized cables and / or connectors provided with the device or available from the manufacturer / distributor for use with this device. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the manufacturer or party responsible for this FCC compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance to the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense. Configure the radio module for operation in the 4.9 GHz band using the radio configuration software. 2. Configure the power setting for Auto using the radio configuration software. 3. Measure the power output during transmit. 4. Verify that the power reading is between 17 dBm and 21 dBm.
LABELING INSTRUCTIONS 1. The radio module used 3e-525 Family products is the Wistron CM9-GP module (3eTI Part Number 90000782-003). 2. Remove the existing FCC label from the CM9 and replace this label with the QVT-525A-3 label designated for use with the CM9 (Part Number 5643371007 – LBL,FCC,QVT-525A-3,CM9). 3. Add an FCC label designated for use with the enclosure (Part Number 5643371008 – LBL,FCC,QVT-525A-3,ENCLOSURE) in place of the FCC label on the outside of the product enclosure. Remove any existing FCC label on this enclosure prior to installing the new label. Note: the correct location for installation of this label is called out in the Manufacturing Assembly Instructions for the product.
